Chico Bocce is excited with the incredible spread of the sport and our involvement with the Chico Area Recreation Department to establish four public bocce courts at 20th Street Park. Our outreach has expanded the number of players young and old to the joy of bocce.
HOW TO GET TO THE 20TH STREET COURTS
The courts are located near the Field House at 1900 Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy. Parking is also available on the west side of the courts via Cleveland Avenue.
BOCCE BEATS!!
Bocce Beats is happening on Fridays at 7:00 PM. Teams will be randomly chosen, so don't be late! $10 cash only buy-in. Payouts depend on the number of players. Double eliminaton. Games to 10 points.

A very dedicated, diverse and thoroughly committed group of people have been playing on bocce courts throughout Chico for many years. There are the long covered courts at the End of Normal where folks have been competing for cash prizes every week of the year as well as many annual tournaments. There are the backyards at various homes where league play goes on Spring and Fall nights. 100 people are probably playing bocce on a Thursday night in Chico. Players are multi-generational. men and women, from all walks of life but all with a love for the sport and a camaraderie that is irreplaceable. Bocce is all inclusive. You ask a bocce player what he loves about playing and they will say, it’s the people! I love my people. Of course, winning is nice too. We are very excited about our new courts at 20th Street Park. Huge thanks go out to the CARD Board and Staff for spreading the love. We are so very thankful for their support and financial commitment to building four regulation size courts with lights and a roof. This will ensure that we can play in all weather conditions and also host large tournaments that will bring an entire new group of players to our town and make Chico the Bocce Capital of Northern California!! A yearly membership enables you to play in all Chico Bocce sponsored tournaments, leagues,
puts you on our mailing list, detailing places/times of open play, pickup games, special events,
and provides funding for small improvements (lockers, benches, etc.) at the public courts.
